We’re sure you’ve heard of positive reinforcement. Treats, praise, fun - it’s the basis of all marketing for dog training. What they don’t tell you (don’t worry, we will) is that there are three more parts to the, well, quadrant. Positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement, positive punishment, negative punishment - these make up the Operant Conditioning Quadrant, which is part of the larger Learning Theory.
